Each student enrolled in the Electrical Sign course should be issued:
The Electrical Sign Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Electrical Theory, and summaries of UL 48 and the National Electrical Code. The last section of the Electrical Sign Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.
The Business Math and Architectural Scale Lecture covers the first part of the Electrical Sign manual. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Electrical Sign manual.
The C-45 Practice Exams are currently being revised to bring them more in line with the current State Exam. This is a time consuming process since few students take the C-45 Exam and we receive little feedback on the course. While it is important to study all of the practice exams, please be sure that your students pay special attention to the C-45 Update as it is the most recent information we have available for this course. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State's questions may be worded differently.
The C-45 Electrical Sign Contractor's Computer-Assisted Practice Tests are supplied on a computer disk which will load a software program on the student's computer. The program presents questions one at a time, automatically scores the exam, presents the student with a grade, and lists each question answered incorrectly along with the correct answer.
